Portia Pigglesworth

I found this piggy bank at Marshall's. I couldn't resist it! I rationalized that I could give it to someone as a gift but I'm totally keeping it for myself...

New Art Work

Here are a couple of paintings that I worked on this weekend. I am fairly pleased with how they turned out. A guy I work with told me that my work reminded him of Gustav Klimt. That was pretty flattering I thought. Not sure I agree but I see some Klimt-ishness in my work, I guess. I definitely had that in mind when I worked on the 2nd painting. You can't really tell in this image but the hair is actually gold and there is silver in the background.

Fallout Art Fest Pictures

Some duct tape and shrinky dink wallets that I made. People seem to really like them.

My sister Cherish and I sold our art at the Fallout Art Fast last weekend and it turned out pretty well. Only a couple of sprinkles of rain. Cherish and I had a prime spot for our booth and the bands were really good. We didn't make a ton of money but it was a good experience. Even though someone tried to steal from us. The last picture was drawn on the fence by our booth and I just thought it was kind of cool. And creepy.

Red Hot Art Fair - Soggy but fun!

Although it poured on Saturday and felt more like October than June, the Art Fest was a success and a bunch of fun. It was really encouraging how much people seem to like our artwork. A positive experience for sure. Plus I didn't die from hypothermia. SHOUT OUT TO STARBUCKS!

Red Hot Art

This year my sister Cherish and I are selling our art at the Red Hot Art Fair. We've been working hard to get everything ready. It's our first big art fair. I'm excited about it. Also anxious and overwhelmed. I've been told that I can control the weather so I'm really pushing for a beautiful weekend.
